A dish on the menu of a traditional fish and chip spot on Norwich Market has been named one of the best in the UK.
PETA has listed its top picks for a vegan spin on the seaside dish and Lucy’s Chips has netted a leading spot.
A favourite place for a lunch break from work or shopping, the takeaway stall serves a traditional-style battered vegan fish alongside its classic chip shop menu.

Popular among locals, diners often queue up to grab their grub from the beloved market spot owned by twins Barclay and Kingston Gray.
Established in the city in 1971, Lucy's Chips has been awarded with the prestigious National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF) Quality Accreditation.
PETA director of vegan corporate projects, Dawn Carr, said: “Lucy’s Chips' fabulous vegan fillet is a real catch that celebrates the sea without harming the animals who live there.”
Other city chippies recognised by PETA for their vegan dishes include The No Catch Co. in Brighton, #fish in Edinburgh and The Dove and Unity Diner in London.
