Power cuts are affecting suburbs of Norwich on both sides of the city this morning (May 22).

It was first reported at 12.55am and it is impacting properties in the Thorpe St Andrew, Bowthorpe, Costessey and Taverham areas.

As of 6.45am, 185 households are still experiencing power cuts as engineers work to fix the issue.

The cause is an underground electricity cable that has faulted on the high voltage network, causing an area-wide power cut.

Power is expected to be restored between 7.30am and 8.30am this morning.
