People in Norfolk can expect mixed weather this bank holiday with thunderstorms, heavy rain and sunny spells.

Low pressure from the east meeting cold air from the west is set to disrupt the region's warmer weather.

This has caused the Met Office to issue a yellow weather warning for thunder tonight and into tomorrow.

Following Friday's thunderstorms, heavy showers are expected to spread across the county with colder temperatures throughout Friday.

Moving into the bank holiday weekend, Saturday's weather is set to be the highlight.

A Met Office spokesman said: "Saturday should be bright with warm sunny spells and the odd daytime shower.

"There is changeable weather on Sunday and Monday with spells of rain and heavy showers.

"Temperatures a little above average and cooler along the coast."

However they added: "There continues to be uncertainty around the track and speed of an Atlantic low-pressure system which is expected to cross the UK this weekend meaning there is some uncertainty about some of the forecast details."
