A luxury hot chocolate brand is set to open its first Norfolk branch.

Knoops Chocolate has lodged plans with Norwich City Council to open a new store at 21 Haymarket, the former home of Harris and James.

The bakery and ice cream business announced the sudden closure of its city branch in January due to a drop in interest after a post-pandemic rush of customers.

Knoops, which serves hot chocolates, milkshakes and baked goods, is hoping to move into the vacant unit.

Norwich City Council will make a decision on the application in due course.
