Yellow Door Eats in Hethersett launches garlic bread menu

Lisa Billman launched pizza delivery service Yellow Door Eats from her Hethethersett home during the pandemic.

She had been inspired to make pizza dough after a trip to Italy with her husband Dan and soon enlisted her whole family to help with the venture.

Her signature dough and locally-sourced toppings quickly attracted attention and she purchased a converted horsebox to operate from.

The team has recently "soft-launched" a unique garlic bread menu offering fresh dough topped with Italian cheese and an alternated selection of toppings.

Guests can choose from ingredients such as nduja sausage, pesto, olives, spinach, sundried tomatoes and Hethersett honey made by the Billman family's neighbour.

"Our garlic dough balls have always been really popular," Mrs Billman said.

"So we figured why not do those on a bigger scale and make the dough the focus?

"We pride ourselves on the quality of our fresh dough because we make it all by hand and proof it for 48 hours.

"A lot of people say they didn't realise they were eating bad pizza until they tasted ours - I don't think many pizza places make their own."

She added the garlic bread had gone down well so far and said people had been excited to try something different.

"I don't think it's something many places are doing at the moment," Mrs Billman said.

"We've been doing some research and they do have stalls selling just garlic bread at big markets like in Manchester.

"If they stay popular and we have the chance we'd love to bring them to Norwich Market and have a unit just for garlic bread."

Pizzas, salads, garlic bread, dough balls and dessert pizzas are available to collect from Yellow Door Eats in St Davids Road, Hethersett, between 4pm and 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Delivery is available within a five-mile radius.
