Easter joy for bereaved youngsters, thanks to a generous gift.

Orbit Homes has collected some 140 Easter treats, including eggs and chocolates, to donate to Norfolk-based charity Nelson’s Journey.

This charity supports thousands of bereaved children throughout the county, providing specialist services and resources, as well as raising awareness in local schools.

Regional managing director for Orbit Homes East, Ray Winney, said: “At Orbit Homes we understand how important the care that Nelson’s Journey offers to young people in our communities is, so we wanted to support their efforts by offering a small contribution over Easter.

"We hope that our treats help to bring a moment of joy to the young people that Nelson’s Journey reaches this month.”

Gary Stevens, funding and marketing manager at Nelson’s Journey, said: “Many of the young people we work with have been bereaved of loved ones they were once surrounded by at Easter.

"Much of what we do is supporting children to cope, and donations like this help us restore part of that special feeling that no child should have to lose.”
