Norfolk drug dealer's food poisoning holds up court case

Saed, from London, but currently of HMP Peterborough, was due to appear at court on Monday (March 25) for sentencing.

Peterborough Prison (Image: Newsquest)She previously admitted two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs and an offence of arranging or facilitating the travel of another person with a view to exploitation.

But Saed did not appear in court and her barrister, Gordon Carse, explained she had not attended her pre-sentence report as she was suffering from food poisoning.

Judge Antony Bate said "given the gravity" of the offences and the defendant's youth he ordered another pre-sentence report for April 16.

In December, last year Ndikumana, then 20 and from Essex, and Si, then 21 and from London, were both put behind bars having both previously admitted two counts of supplying drugs of class A.

Ndikumana received four years detention in a young offenders institution (YOI) and Si got three years and four months.
