Families will get the chance to have a professional photoshoot in a city park to benefit two good causes later this month.

Charlotte Gray, 41, who lives and works in Norwich, will be set up at the cafe of The Feed in Waterloo Park and will split the profits between its Nourish programme and the Reverse Rett charity.

Nourish was launched in April 2021 to provide hot evening meals to anyone without access to cooking facilities or food.

Charlotte has personally experienced the profound effects of Rett Syndrome, as her niece has the rare genetic disorder, which affects the way the brain develops.

The photographer said: “I originally wanted to build the charity shoots into my business but having three children meant it fell by the wayside.

“However, last July I thought I would just go for it. I started it up again in my friend’s gallery in Hackney and raised more than £1,500."

Charlotte has run an array of charity events before, raising more than £3,000 following London's Grenfell Tower disaster.

She continued: “I am aiming to run three of these shoots a year, one in Norwich, one in London, and I am in talks with places in Holkham to run one there.

“I chose to run my event at the Feed cafe as it's accessible and dog friendly – people love to get dogs in their photos!

“It is £39 for a five-minute slot and you get given two professional photos you can print off as many times as you like.”

The event will run on March 24 between 9am and 3pm, with donations also accepted.

Charlotte added: “For people worrying about the time slots, I can’t stress enough that five minutes is more than enough time.”
