Grab a slice of the action as a chef who hails from Sicily has launched a new pizza business in a converted horsebox. 

Salvio Marongiu, 28, has started Salvio's Pizza and his first pitch is at a pub on the outskirts of the city. 

He will be outside The White Horse in Trowse from 5.30pm until 8pm on Sunday, March 10, with a quiz night inside from 7pm.

There is a wood-fired pizza oven in the horsebox and the options are a Margherita, super cheese, pepperoni, Hawaiian or a plant-based option with vegan mozzarella, onions and mixed peppers. 

He is also planning to cater for various events, including weddings, birthdays and festivals.

Mr Marongiu moved from Sicily, where he worked as a chef and his father had restaurants, to England in 2016.

Mr Marongiu said: "I have now decided to start my own business as I have great experience and am passionate about cooking.

"Customers can expect fresh dough daily and it will be Sicilian-style pizza, which is not too thin and not too thick."
