After years in the making, SOUL Church, Norwich, is officially opening its new church facility and community hub this weekend.

The hub will offer a social supermarket, a 1,250 seat auditorium, a cafe with indoor soft play facilities, sensory room and much more.

The Social Supermarket, which opened in 2022, has given more than 30,000 bags of shopping to families and individuals from the community.

The new hub also features SOUL Nursery, which opened at the start of this year.

It provides 110 places for children and is already almost fully subscribed.

Senior pastor of SOUL Church, Jon Norman, said: “It is set to be a significant weekend, and the start of an exciting journey.

“This new building will enable us to offer practical help and support to more people in the area.

“We have plans for many community projects, for kids, seniors, young people, parents, job seekers and more.

“I believe that when we open those doors we are opening doors of hope for people in our city.”

Over the opening weekend there will be an opportunity for a guided tour tomorrow followed by a 6.30pm service, and on Sunday there will be 10am, 1pm and 5pm services.

Already more than 4,000 have registered to attend, with people flying in from all over the world to be a part of this momentous occasion.

Admission is free, but registration is required, and this can be booked via www.soulchurch.com.
