A man has been charged in connection with a burglary and attempted burglary in the Golden Triangle.
Shortly after 5pm on Monday, police received reports of a burglary and another attempted burglary in Newmarket Road.
Officers patrolling Newmarket Road on Wednesday then spotted a man who was wanted in connection with the offences.
A man in his 50s was arrested at 4.40pm on suspicion of burglary and attempted burglary and was found to have a torch, snippers and gloves with him.
He was further arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal and was taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning.
Joel Lawrence, 51, of William Kett Close in Norwich, was charged with burglary, attempted burglary, going equipped for burglary and refusing to provide a sample for a Class A drug test.
He was remanded in custody and appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning.
He pleaded not guilty to all offences and was released on conditional bail.
Lawrence will next appear at Norwich Crown Court on March 13.
