A Golden Triangle pub has closed due to the ongoing strain of the cost of living crisis on the hospitality industry.

The Earlham opened in Earlham Road in June 2021 under landlady Rose Hanison, who also runs The Black Horse.

Its last day open to the public for the foreseeable future was on Sunday, amid plans to use the venue as an events space.

The Earlham will now be available to hire for hen parties, weddings, birthdays, christenings and other celebrations.

Ms Hanison also wants to offer the space to chefs and catering businesses who want to run pop-up events.

She added: "We can do anything, there's a lot to offer.

The doors of the venue won't be closed for long as events are already booked in at The Earlham this week.

The Black Horse will now "incorporate both pubs into one space" and will be reopening on Thursday after undergoing a big refurbishment.
