A Norwich cafe has been named one of the best food experiences in the UK.
Tofurei, in St Gregorys Alley, has been hailed by National Geographic as one of the leading businesses in the plant-based dining scene.
The cafe serves vegan sandwiches, cakes, burgers and more, using locally-produced tofu from their factory in Lenwade.
National Geographic said: "A cosy spot serving luscious chocolate cakes alongside oat milk lattes, Norwich’s Tofurei might not look especially unusual, but it was set up to showcase the products of a micro soya dairy.

"The small team makes their own fresh tofu, including a plain and a maple-smoked option, which go on the menu in items like a soysage roll, tofu pasties and tofu noodle soup."

The business hit TV screens last year when the Hair Bikers travelled to their production unit to learn about tofu.
Tofurei opened in Pottergate in 2016 but relocated to its current home after being forced to close during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
It is listed by National Geographic alongside 10 other restaurants including Gauthier in London and Happy Maki in Brighton.
