Children from three partnered schools had a close encounter with flying machines to mark the launch of an exciting new partnership.
Pupils from Firside Junior School, Heather Avenue Infant School and Hellesdon High School were treated to an intimate look behind the scenes at the International Aviation Academy in Norwich.
Youngsters were given the opportunity to get into the cockpit of a Boeing 737 aircraft and shown around the aviation academy, which is based at Norwich Airport.
It was part of a new partnership between the Wensum Trust, which runs the schools, and KLM UK Engineering which is hoping to inspire the next generation of aircraft engineers to take flight.
The link-up will see the organisation send engineers into schools to tell children about their industry - while KLM will also help fund opportunities for youngsters to gain vital experiences.
John Smith, chairman of trustees at the Wensum Trust, said: "I am delighted that we have been able to develop this partnership.
"This is the latest in a number of unique partnerships we have, which are important in helping young people better understand the value of education."
