From marathons to an inflatable 5km race, there are runs to suit all fitness levels in Norfolk this year.

Here are seven runs to try in Norfolk in 2024.

1) Run Norwich 

When: September 8

One of the region's most popular runs, the route passes through Norwich's landmarks such as Norwich Castle, The Forum, Norwich Cathedral and Carrow Road.

The run is known for its electric atmosphere with people lining the streets throughout the course.

Entries are currently open.

2) The Norfolk Marathon

When: April 28

The county's named marathon event takes place around Cromer.

One of the most scenic runs in the county will carve you around north Norfolk's countryside before finishing at the famous pier.

The marathon has a £42.50 entry fee and entries are still open.

3) Run Sandringham Half Marathon

When: June 16

The summer run around the estate gives you a great chance to explore the King's royal retreat.

It also hosts a community mile giving everyone a chance to get involved.

The fee for the half marathon is £27.90 with entries now open.

4) Blickling Half Marathon

When: March 17

The picturesque backdrop of this National Trust site is a great way to keep you entertained as you run around the 13.1-mile route.

The spring event takes competitors on off-road paths around the grounds.

Entry costs £33.60 with limited spaces left.

5) Great Yarmouth Seafront 10KM and Half Marathon

When: March 3

Another seafront route, the run will take you along the Great Yarmouth coast past the amusement arcade and the Venetian Waterways.

The route is extremely flat offering a great chance to hit your personal best.

Entry starts at £25.44 with entries still available.

6) Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon

When: February 11

The route along the abandoned railway starts at Wensum Community Centre in Norwich before weaving along the flat route to Aylsham Town Hall.

The half marathon starts further along the route and also finishes in Aylsham.

The race costs £32 with tickets still available.

7) Inflatable 5km

When: October 12

The inflatable fun run takes place at Norfolk Showground on the outskirts of Norwich with the choice of 2.5km, 5km, 10km and 15km. 

A new design this year will see more obstacles, with organisers saying they will be bigger, bouncier and more fun than ever before.
