A rural pub has announced its sudden closure.

The Bell at Marlingford, near Norwich, revealed the news on social media this morning.

In a statement, it said: "It is with deepest regret that we inform you The Marlingford Bell will not be reopening until further notice."

They added that they were not currently in a position to discuss the reason for the closure.

The venue is also home to a restaurant serving burgers, pub classics, loaded fries and desserts and has been based in the village for many years.
