Work to build the city's next Starbucks drive-through coffee shop has begun.

The coffee giant will be moving onto a disused site in the Longwater Retail Park in Costessey.

This week, people living and shopping in the area have seen building work start on 0.28 hectares of undeveloped land which neighbours the Bannatyne gym.

“I believe Starbucks will be one of nine places in the area to get coffee, so it shows that going out for coffee is a booming culture.

“It is going to cost me a fortune though as a Starbucks iced caramel Frappuccino is my daughter's go-to drink!”

KBeveradge will be running the store as a franchisee. It is set to have 30 parking spaces but an opening date is yet to be announced.

KBeveradge has been contacted for comment.
