After the success of Aladdin, which has broken the Marina Theatre’s Box Office record, the staff at the Lowestoft venue are looking forward to a fruitful 2024.

The theatre’s Marina Comedy Club, which was launched in October last year, returns on Saturday, January 13 with popular comedian Angela Barnes as the headliner.

Joining her will be Philipp Kostelecky and Louise Bastock, with the evening being hosted by Justin Panks.

Sam Vallerius, general manager at the Marina Theatre, said “After the massive success of our pantomime, we want to continue this momentum into 2024.

"It was a really proud moment for us last year when we launched our Comedy Club and to see how it has grown already has been thrilling so we can’t wait for the next event on the 13th.”

On Sunday, January 14 the Marina’s Young Company will take to the stage with their production of Blue Stockings by Jessica Swale.

This play tells the eye-opening story of four young women fighting for education and self-determination against the larger backdrop of women’s suffrage.

The Marina Theatre is thrilled to be welcoming back The Lowestoft Players as they present their pantomime, Cinderella.

The panto will run from Saturday, January 20 to Sunday, January 28 and tickets are on sale via the Box Office on 01502 533200 or at www.marinatheatre.co.uk
