A "timid" puppy is hoping to find her forever home in Norfolk in the new year.

Freckles is an eight-month-old Dobermann cross who has "stolen the hearts" of the staff at Dog's Trust in Snetterton.

She lacks a bit of confidence and is looking for a home where any children are sensible and of at least secondary school age.

Freckles enjoys the company of other pooches and would be happy to share her home with another pet.

She is still a puppy but knows how to sit and paw, although she would benefit from adopters who are happy to build on her tricks using positive reward-based training.

A representative for Dog's Trust said: "Freckles has been friendly with everyone that she meets but she can sometimes take a little longer to warm up to someone.

"She is a sweet young lady who is going to thrive with a family who have the time to devote to her."
