A road in the city outskirts is to close for up to six weeks as essential work is completed.

Eastern Close in Thorpe St Andrew will close on January 8 to ensure that the work can be completed safely.

The work will see the reconstruction of the worn-out pavement along Eastern Close, which is near Fitzmaurice Park.

Access to properties in the road will still be maintained but may involve a short diversion route.

Access may be briefly blocked to properties as work is carried out on the pavement by the driveway of the relevant house.

The roadworks are set to cost £80,082 and will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors.
