Dozens of flowers have been left at the scene where a week-long search for a missing Norwich mother-of-three came to a heartbreaking end.
Specialist officers discovered a body in the river around 400 metres downstream from Wensum Park on Friday morning, a week after 55-year-old Gaynor Lord disappeared.
A post-mortem examination of the body has found no indications of any third-party involvement. The body has yet to be officially identified, but Gaynor's family was informed shortly after its discovery.
More than 30 floral tributes lined the entrances by St Martins Road and Drayton Road.
Messages in tribute read: "RIP Gaynor. Thinking of family at this sad time. So sorry for your loss."
"Silent Night by Sinead O'Connor came on my playlist.
"I looked at the picture of you smiling and prayed that you felt peace in your last moments. I'm sorry this happened to you.
"Sleep in heavenly peace."
On Tuesday, an olive-coloured coat belonging to Gaynor was found in the river in Wensum Park. The following day, specialist divers from Lincolnshire Police joined the search.
From there, the mother-of-three continued along St George's Street towards the Playhouse at 3.49pm.
She was then seen walking along St Crispins Road towards Pitt Street and finally up St Augustine’s Street at 4.01pm.
