A Norwich club could follow in the footsteps of world-famous institutions like Fabric and Ministry of Sound to be named the best in the UK. 

Gonzo's Two Room in London Street is a finalist in the best club category at the DJ Mag's Best Of British Awards 2023.

The Norwich venue is up against The Cause and Phonox, both in London, Hidden in Manchester and Patterns in Brighton.

The prestigious awards are now in their 17th year and the winners across 17 categories will be announced at a ceremony in the capital later today (December 14).

They shine a spotlight on the homegrown talent that continues to place the UK scene at the forefront of electronic music.

Mike Baxter, one of the Gonzo's Two Room owners, said: "To be included among such nightlife giants is beyond humbling.

"To have been able to witness and be a part of the growth of Norwich nightlife and to see so many good local artists promoted and recognised is a dream come true."
