Emergency services were called to an incident involving a car that had crashed in a ford.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Mill Lane near Shotesham Ford at 9.46am today.
It has now been confirmed that a man in his 70s died at the scene.
The road is closed as well as the footpaths in the area.
A police helicopter was also spotted over the A140 near the Sugarbeat restaurant.
Police drones have also been spotted.
The nature of the incident is currently unclear and Norfolk Constabulary has been contacted for comment.
