A new bus service from Norwich to north Norfolk will be introduced in the new year - here is all you need to know. 

Sanders Coaches will be launching the 54 route from January 2 which will provide a new link between North Walsham, Badersfield, Buxton and Norwich. 

The transport firm claims journeys between the city and the town will be faster and more frequent with the week-long service, as well as improved reliability with timetable adjustments.

The 54 bus will stop at locations including Lamas, Frettenham, Spixworth and Old Catton on its 16-mile route and will replace the currently running 210 service. 

From Monday to Friday, buses will run regularly from 6.35am to 5.40pm. On Saturdays, buses will run from 7.30am to 5.15pm and on Sundays and bank Hhlidays they will run from 8.15am and 5.15pm.

Passengers are encouraged to check timetables before travelling for exact timings. 

Fares will be capped at £2 until the end of next year as part of the Department for Transport's £200 million support scheme.
