Police are investigating a five-hour gap between the last sighting of a missing 55-year-old woman and the discovery of her clothes in a city park.

Gaynor Lord was last seen walking down London Street at 2.45pm on Friday after leaving her job at Bullards in Jarrolds.

Police confirmed that a member of the public found her clothing in Wensum Park at around 8.10pm the same evening - five hours after her last sighting.

Over the weekend, specialist search teams carried out extensive searches of the area, including water-based searches carried out with assistance from the force's Marine Unit, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and the Coastguard. 

Wensum Park has remained closed to the public as specialist teams comb the area for the mother of three who is described as white, 5 ft 6 tall and has blonde shoulder-length hair in a bob.

Drones have also been used in the search which police are currently treating as a missing persons investigation. 

Superintendent Wes Hornigold insisted on Monday that there was "no evidence of any third-party involvement" as the search continues.
