As festivities spread across the city one suburb is getting a magical visit from a different type of Christmas character.

Tinkerbelle is gearing up to hit the streets dressed as everyone's favourite reindeer Rudolph.

The two-year-old miniature Shetland pony already has an adoring fan base from her appearances dressed as a unicorn, but a special parade will see Tinky stomping Old Catton ground spreading Christmas cheer.

Kirsty Gray, owner of Spring Meadows Pony Parties, said: “Not many people In Norwich cater for what we do.

“We take Tinkerbelle to birthday parties and care homes – she dressed up in different outfits to suit people's themes but her unicorn costume is the one she is best known for.”

Tinkerbelle is a big fan of fuss and enjoys spending time with children and elderly people.

Kirsty has found that Tinkerbelle settles into new surroundings quickly and has a very good nature that benefits those around her.

“We have been doing parties and visits for a little over a year," she continued.

Tinkerbelle has even brought elderly residents to tears with the sheer joy of stroking the friendly little pony.

And that is why Kirsty wanted to spread joy this Christmas and bring Tinkerbelle to folk who wouldn’t ordinarily get to meet her.

“And with the cost of living at the moment, it doesn't cost parents a penny.”

Tinkerbelle will set out in Old Catton on Sunday, December 17 at 2.30pm and will try to meet as many children in the area as possible.
