A road in the city's Golden Triangle is set to unite for its very first winter street fair.

Businesses in Unthank Road will line the street with stalls for a festive community celebration on December 9.

From 10am, the street will be lined with stalls offering mulled wine, mince pies, discounts, vouchers and plenty of activities.

The Pear Tree Inn will be running children's craft stalls and a first-come-first-serve Santa's Grotto from midday and a jazz band will perform to crowds from 4pm.

At Peter Taylor Funeral Care, visitors can enjoy carol singers, appreciate a remembrance service, try their luck at a tombola and sample some festive refreshments.

Rambling Wild has offered to run wreath-making workshops while Webster's will host a Christmas card competition.

Some independent local vendors will attend to showcase their handmade products and many other businesses are still planning activities and special offers.

The event, which is being coordinated by Leslie Pears from The Pear Tree Inn, aims to bring neighbours and spread joy in preparation for the upcoming holidays.

It will also have charity at its core, with fundraisers for organisations including EACH, Break, Nelson's Journey and the Norwich Food Bank running across the event.
