With Christmas fast approaching our favourite festive drinks are finally back on the menu. 

Here are five of the best places for a mulled wine or cider in Norwich this winter. 

1. Adam and Eve

Where: 17 Bishopgate, Norwich, NR3 1RZ

The pub is believed to be the oldest in the city and has been open since at least 1249, nestled between the river and the Cathedral. 

Although the building is reputed to be haunted, the Adam and Eve is still a favourite among readers who named it one of the city's cosiest pubs. 

2. Tipsy Jar

Where: 8 Redwell Street, Norwich, NR2 4SN

Guests are able to enjoy the fun of shaking their own cocktails and adding their own garnishes.

The bar will not be serving mulled wine but will instead offer mulled cider and Aperol on its winter warmer menu this year.

3. The Belgian Monk

Where: 7 Pottergate, Norwich, NR2 1DS

The Belgian Monk in Pottergate claims to be serving "the best mulled wine in the area" this year. 

The pub has been situated in the heart of the Norwich Lanes for the last 23 years and serves authentic Belgian beer and cuisine all year round.

The 17th-century building gives the venue a historic feel with a warm glow inside, ideal for hiding away from the colder weather. 

4. The Stanley NR3

Where: 33 Magdalen Road, Norwich, NR3 4LG

The pub is well-known for its collaborations with Yard and Brick Pizza to serve up some of the city's favourite food in a stylish venue. 

The Stanley has stood proudly in NR3 since around 1880 and is home to rustic decor which honours the original bar fittings. 

5. The Rumsey Wells

Where: 4 St Andrews Street, Norwich, NR2 4AF

Named after Herbert Rumsey Wells, maker of the most expensive caps in the world, the pub is absolutely packed with character.

The pub also serves Pieminister pies, for those looking for a warming meal with their drink.
