A man has been charged after an attempted armed burglary in Norwich.

Four men attempted to break into an address in Music House Lane at around 2.10pm on Tuesday, October 17 while armed with weapons. 

A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested in Rosary Road last Friday and taken to Wymondham police station for questioning.

Officers searched the property and seized a firearm, ammunition and cash.

Nile Mustafa, 29, of Rosary Road, has since been charged with attempted aggravated burglary, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a firearm when prohibited for life, possession of criminal property, possession of a prohibited weapon (a firearm of length less than 30cm/60cm) and possession of prohibited ammunition. 

Mustafa was remanded into custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today.
