A new Norwich seance cafe is hunting for staff after it was allowed to open without planning permission.

The cafe will open in Wroxham Road, Sprowston, in the former home of Astley and Co estate agents which has been moved online in order to allow the new venture to open.

It comes after owner Yvonne Astley withdrew a planning application to operate both businesses at the same time when it became unlikely permission would be granted, after objections from teams at Norfolk County Council, Broadland District Council and Sprowston Town Council.

Under the current rules of Ms Astley's occupation she is able to open the cafe and close the physical estate agents without permission.

Now she is hunting for cooks, baristas, waiters and servers in part-time and full-time roles.

Taking to Facebook she said: "I'm looking for staff for the new cafe on Wroxham Road next door to Tesco and in the old Astley and Co estate agents.

"The estate agent is going online to make way for the café.

"We need cooks, baristas, waiters and servers, part-time and full-time posts available.

"If you have experience, all the better. Please contact me by sending a message."
