From Sheffield steelworkers turned strippers to a Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, these are the West End shows coming to Norwich Theatre Royal this autumn.

1. The Drifters Girl

When:  September 19-23

Direct from the West End, The Drifters Girl is heading to Norwich on tour and it stars The X Factor winner Dalton Harris.

Discover the remarkable story of The Drifters and the truth about the woman who made them in this jukebox musical, packed with hits including Saturday Night At The Movies, Save The Last Dance For Me and Stand By Me.

2. Life of Pi

When: September 25-30

Based on the best-selling book by Yann Martel, Life of Pi has wowed audiences on both the West End and Broadway and it features jaw-dropping visuals and puppetry. 

After an epic storm in the Pacific Ocean, Pi is stranded on a lifeboat with four other survivors – a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan and a Royal Bengal tiger in this epic story of endurance and hope.

3. 2:22 A Ghost Story 

When: October 10-14

An all-star cast has been announced for the UK tour of 2:22 A Ghost Story, which has been a huge hit on London's West End. 

The supernatural thriller will star Joe Absolom (A Confession, Doc Martin), Charlene Boyd (Mayflies, River City), Nathaniel Curtis (It’s A Sin, The Witcher) and Louisa Lytton (Eastenders, The Bill).

4. The Full Monty

When: October 24-28 

This hit play, based on the 1997 film of the same name, is set in Sheffield and follows Gaz and his mates who are down on their luck and decide to form a male striptease act to make some money. 

The cast includes Danny Hatchard (EastEnders) Jake Quickenden (The X Factor, I'm A Celebrity) and Bill Ward (Coronation Street, Emmerdale).

5. Quiz: The Coughing Major Millionaire Scandal

When: October 31-November 4

In a shockingly shameless scam, ITV's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire was duped out of £1million - or was it?

After uncovering new evidence, theatre audiences will be asked to answer the ultimate 50/50 question on keypads: guilty or not guilty?

The show stars comedian Rory Bremner as Chris Tarrant, Emmerdale's Charley Webb as Diana Ingram, Unforgotten's Lewis Reeves as Charles Ingram and Mark Benton, known for roles in Northern Lights and Waterloo Road, as Judge Rivlin.

6. Noises Off!

When: November 7-11

One of the greatest British comedies ever written comes to Norwich following a hit West End season. 

Michael Frayn’s celebrated play follows the on and offstage antics of a touring theatre company as they stumble their way through the fictional farce, Nothing On.

7. The King and I

When: November 14-18

This award-winning production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I will transport you back to the golden age of musicals, with songs including I Whistle a Happy Tune and Shall We Dance.

Seasoned musical theatre star Annalene Beechey reprises the role of Anna Leonowens and Broadway favourite and film actor Darren Lee plays The King of Siam.
