A city park and ride site has reopened after a three-year closure.

Postwick Park and Ride, in Yarmouth Road, was back in use today (September 4), allowing 552 cars to park on the edge of the city.

The site has not been used by buses for three years, other than for a trial month last year, after being converted into a Covid testing site.

Bus services start from 7.30am heading into the city, with the last bus returning at 6.10pm from Monday to Saturday.

The journey to the city takes 15 minutes.

There are new lower-priced fares on route 503, with adults travelling for £3, 17 to 19-year-olds and concessions for £2, and children for £1.50.

The new prices have been made possible from money that Norfolk County Council has secured from the Department for Transport.

There will be a £1 fare for extra passengers when travelling with a paying customer.

Approximately £5.3 million of the council's Bus Service Improvement Plan funding has been allocated to fare promotions to make bus travel more affordable in Norfolk over the next three years.
