Tales, stories and myths of Norfolk will be brought to life in a new exhibition at a city centre art galley.

Local artists Rosie Pattison, Sophia Shuvalova and Tom Exton have combined their skills to create a collection of drawings, paintings, installations and videos for their exhibition.

Elemental Territories is being held at The Undercroft gallery, underneath the memorial gardens at the back of Norwich Market, from Sunday (September 3).

Sophia said the artists "were inspired by the wonderful county of Norfolk" with many of the works taking several months to complete.

This includes drawings of local walking trails, a mythological-themed poem and a folk-horror film which took roughly two years to finish.

All three artists studied together at Norwich University of the Arts, with Sophia adding: "Whilst our respective paths and practices differ, our creative voices are irrefutably shaped by Norfolk."

The exhibition promises to be a diverse, multidisciplinary showing, with each artist offering a unique style and skillset.

Tom's contribution will be observational nature diaries of the county's countryside and Rosie's humorous portraits of the local wildlife will also be on display.

Sophia is providing her artistic interpretations of familiar and forgotten Norfolk fables and legends such as the Green Lady and Julian of Norwich.
