A council blunder that saw a city road have both 20 and 30mph signs has FINALLY been sorted after more than two months.
The confusing signs in Oak Street, off St Crispins Road, show a 30 limit on the right side of the road and a 20 limit on the left side, with the sign on the right telling drivers the 20 zone was ending.
Norfolk County Council, which is responsible for highways, said the issue could have been caused by one of the signs being struck by a large vehicle - adding that the correct speed limit for the road is 20mph.
And despite the gaffe being raised by both the Evening News and confused motorists, it took the authority more than two months to correct it.
One driver, who did not want to be named, branded it a "ridiculous" situation.
"It's a bit silly really," they said.
"I presume one of them has been turned around by kids but I use the road a lot and it's been like this a while.
"It could still cause a lot of confusion if you're not from around here.
"They should sort it out quicker really.
