Plans have been unveiled to expand an ambulance depot on the edge of the city.
The East of England Ambulance Service is hoping to construct an extension at its site in Costessey, just off Alex Moorhouse Way, to "accommodate additional services".
It is also seeking permission to replace four car parking spaces with six ambulance spots.

The extension to the existing building would see the Fleet Services Workshop - which is responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing ambulances - relocate from Hellesdon to the facility in Longwater.
A planning statement submitted to South Norfolk Council claims "the Hellesdon facility is not fit for purpose as it cannot provide the space, particularly the length, to accommodate engine repair".

It continues: "The proposal would result in four additional employees at the site.
"And would support and improve the public health service without any anticipated adverse impacts that would outweigh these benefits."
The expansion comes as construction work continues on the new community centre nearby in Easton, which will provide a blue light rest station as part of its facilities.
