A popular Norfolk farm shop is opening a second location in an "idyllic" rural venue.

The Blofield Farm Shop, owned and operated by Marcus Pearcey, 49, and partner Elly, 44, has described the expansion into Black Barn Farm as an "amazing" next step.

Launching this Friday, the Salhouse location will see the business showcase a large butchery counter, an extensive deli and an array of Norfolk products, from jams and honey to cakes to bread.

It comes after the barn's former occupant, The Galley Deli, departed the premises after only one month in May.

Trevor Thain, Black Barn Farm owner, said: "It's a very exciting time at the farm and I am really looking forward to Salhouse Farm Shop and Café opening.

"As a farmer myself, supporting the local farming community and Norfolk producers is really important to me and it is a pleasure to be working with a business owner who has the same ethos as myself.

"I host monthly Farmers' Markets at the barn and I know those who attend will look forward to visiting the shop and café."
