A "brilliant" dog who has been a mother multiple times is looking for a happy home after being found abandoned.

The Shar Pei cross is searching for a home where the youngest children are sensible secondary school-aged and she has a garden to enjoy.

A spokesman for Dogs Trust said: "We suspect Vivienne may have had a few litters in her lifetime.

"She is now looking for a forever home where she can get all the love and attention she deserves.

"Vivienne has been friendly with everyone but she does show subtle signs of being a little under-confident initially, potential adopters should be happy to let her blossom at her own pace and she'd benefit from a hands-off approach when first meeting her.

"Vivienne loves playing with toys, especially if a tennis ball comes out."

She will need plenty of time to settle in before attempting too much with her and it is unknown what Vivienne will be like being left alone, so this should be introduced gradually.

She has met a couple of dogs at the centre and although she can walk nicely with them, she would not enjoy living with one full-time.
