Families in the new builds in the Taursham Park development in Taverham were hoping to be able to make use of the Draper Way park during the summer holidays.
But a couple of weeks in the park still has a fence around it as it needs to be signed off by health and safety officials.

Someone living in the area said: “The playground was completed months ago but it has been fenced off ever since.
“Initially kids played on it with no issues only for it to be fenced off a few days later and then just left.

“It’s ridiculous, there are lots of young children on this new estate but there appears to be no rush to get it signed off.”
Paul LeGrice, managing director of Abel Homes, explained: “We are waiting for the health and safety inspection to be signed off – once that is complete the park will be transferred formally to Taverham Parish Council.
“We want to open it as quickly as everyone else but we need to ensure it has been signed off first as we want it to be as safe as possible.”
