Two former BBC presenters have set a brand new non-profit company which will aim to turn up the volume on under-heard voices in the community.
Soundyard is the creation of Sophie Little, 34 and Anna Perrott, 33 who are both vastly experienced in the world of sound.
Sophie said: “We have both been freelance radio presenters and producers for more than a decade including for the BBC locally and nationally.”

The accessible hub is set to open in Magdalen Street, Norwich, in September, and it will offer learning and facilities unlike anything else in the East of England.
Sophie said: “We are passionate about sharing our skills and industry knowledge, we want people to be able to tell their own stories in engaging ways.
“We teach recording techniques, production values, editing skills, presentation and more and all at your own pace.”

The pair have been making radio, podcasts, and audio for more than a decade, each with experience in community, culture, news, and current affairs.
And the talented pair are set to share these skills with people from all over the county.
Sophie said: “Soundyard is a community interest company, we teach audio production and make meaningful podcasts.

Anna added: “We are opening a hirable podcasting studio and production hub in Norwich – the first of its kind in the East of England.
“We’ll have a comfy vocal booth for audiobook recording too.”
There will also be many desirable options for businesses and groups to work with the company to stand out from the crowd.
All profits will go to realising their social mission and encourage creativity for wellbeing and they are keen to keep striving to ensure everyone can access their hub.
