They bought the boozer in 1993 before refurbishing it and reopening it to the public.

Six months later, the pair opened the on-site Chalk Hill micro-brewery - which supplies the pub with ales.

A new beer, The Good, the Pale and Hoppy, will be released this weekend to coincide with celebrations.

And folk will be able to enjoy their drinks with live music, a BBQ and DJ sets - with beers from one cask even being sold for the price of a pint in 1993, £1.50.

"We're very happy to have reached 30 years and we'd love as many people to come and help us celebrate."
