A woman spoke to friends about being sexually assaulted by a man who is also accused of raping her, a court has heard.
The complainant, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was one of two women allegedly raped by Ryan Hase.
The 29-year-old has gone on trial at Norwich Crown Court having been charged with rape and assault by penetration against one of the women, between March 1, 2011, and May 11, 2011.
Hase, of Bentley Way, near Mile Cross Lane, Norwich, has also been accused of two counts of rape against another woman, between January and December 2015.
On Wednesday (June 14) the jury of eight men and four women heard evidence from a friend who had once worked with the first complainant.
The witness said she recalled the complainant telling her about a sexual assault she had suffered in 2011.
She told Robert Bryan, prosecuting, there had been an incident when the complainant had been sexually assaulted by Hase.
The witness said it had been something the complainant "didn't want to do".
She said: "It had really hurt her and she was in pain.
"I remember her telling me about it afterwards.
"She said she didn't want to do it."
The witness said the complainant told her it had "hurt her".
Also giving evidence was another friend of the first complainant who said she had been told about the same incident.
The witness said: "She described it to me as being quite painful".
The woman said the complainant described how it "hurt" and had been "very uncomfortable".
Jurors have previously heard from Mr Bryan about the two rapes Hase is accused of committing against the other complainant, in 2015.
Hase, who is represented by Jonathan Goodman, has denied all four offences.
The trial continues.
