A Norwich-based sweet treats business has taken its offering up a tier by launching takeaway afternoon tea.

Macarons and More was started by Dr. Tim Kinnaird in 2010 after he reached the finals of BBC's MasterChef.

He has a shop in the Royal Arcade and a bakery and cookery school at the Hellesdon Hall Estate and customers can enjoy macarons, cakes and tray bakes.

Pastry chef Molly Hopkins has now developed a takeaway afternoon tea for two.

She said: "I wanted to develop a proper afternoon tea experience that could be enjoyed at home.

"It is the same quality you would expect in a high-end tea room or restaurant."

There is a twist on your typical afternoon tea with a focus on its signature macarons, layered bars and slices, with verrines presented in glasses too.

There are also traditional offerings such as sweet and savoury scones, mini sandwiches and sausage rolls.

It costs £39.95 for two and is currently available to order for collection between Monday and Friday through macaronsandmore.com

Once established, Mr Kinnaird and his team will offer weekend collections too and cater to dietary requirements.
