Plans for structural changes at a city McDonald's have been given the green light.
The proposals will see the upgrade of eight advertising displays and the installation of a new 'folded roof' at the fast-food restaurant in Longwater Retail Park, Costessey.
Works have been approved with the condition that the signage is not "directly visible" to drivers on the adjacent road.
This will see the replacement of the existing golden arch symbols and McDonald's text signage.
South Norfolk District Council has also approved an application from the same restaurant, which is open 24 hours a day, to establish a new 'folded roof' concept comprising of aluminium cladding.

Neither proposal received any objections from Costessey Town Council or South Norfolk's environmental quality team.
A district council planning officer said: "The site is an existing Mcdonald's restaurant, and the signage is an upgrade along with the other application for roof alterations.
"The signs are within the site, fixed to the roof of the single-storey building and are intentionally visible outside of the site.
"However, they are read as part of the wider context of the site and it is not considered that they will have any significant additional visual impact on the area."
The works have been approved provided they have been completed by June 2026.
