The sun shined and engines roared as hundreds of classic car and motorbike fans headed to north Norfolk at the weekend.

The Stody Classic Vehicle Day took place on Sunday, May 21 at Stody Lodge Gardens, near Holt.

There was a special treat for motorbike enthusiasts as a spectacular convoy of 150 Harley-Davidsons set off from Norwich in the morning and cruised into Stody Lodge at lunchtime.

But the star of the show was Malcolm Metcalf, aged 89, from Gorleston, who arrived in style on the back of a Harley.

It was one of his bucket list activities before he turns 90 and he is fundraising for the Priscilla Bacon Hospice.

He said: "This is my 46th adventure, I’ve always wanted to ride a Harley and here I am.

"Next up is to go on the Big Wheel in Great Yarmouth, riding the first tandem to cross the Third River Crossing bridge, and in September I’m going up in a Cessna from Norwich Airport."
