A Norwich pub is creating a buzz ahead of the return of its annual summer beer festival.

The three-day event will run at The Beehive in Leopold Road from Friday, June 30 until Sunday, July 2 from 12noon until late.

It will take place in a marquee in the garden and there will be around 25 real ales and ciders to try, with tokens available to buy inside the pub.

Tiago’s pizza van will be doing its regular residency on Friday evening and over the weekend there will be a charity barbecue in aid of The Hamlet charity in Norwich.

The beer festival had been running for a year when landlady Alex Kerridge took on the pub 15 years ago and she has hosted it every summer since, apart from 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

Miss Kerridge said: "I would encourage people to support a local community pub and enjoy some excellent real ales, including some they have never tried before."
