A top chef has announced that his kitchen residency at a city pub is coming to an end after more than three years.

Freddie Griggs launched The Urban Eatery at The Fat Cat and Canary in Thorpe Road in December 2019 and it offers street food and Sunday roasts.

His food has received rave reviews, with many customers and local food bloggers claiming his roast dinner was Norwich's best.

He said: "With the cost of ingredients going up we were reluctant to put our prices up as money is tight for people at the moment, so we decided to cut our losses and leave.

Mr Griggs is planning to work as a chef onboard yachts in the Mediterranean this summer.
