A café nestled in a Golden Triangle neighbourhood is now open on Saturday evenings, with new sharing dishes to tuck into.

Connaught Kitchen opened in Connaught Road in May 2021 and over the last two years it has gained a loyal local following.

While in the week it offers a range of breakfasts, pastries and coffees, it is now open on Saturday evenings too.

The new weekend dinner menu includes bread with Baron Bigod brie and chilli jam, pitta bread and dips and a cured meat sharing board.

A range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are on offer, with two cocktails for £12 between 6pm and 7pm, and quiz nights have also just launched, with the next one planned for May 13.

Lucy Hurrell, one of the owners, said: "We have always wanted to do Saturday nights and it is doing really well so far, with the first quiz night in April a sell-out."

The venue also runs regular pop-up supper clubs on Friday evenings.

Connaught Kitchen is open Tuesday to Friday 9am-4pm, Saturday 9am-10pm and Sunday 9am-3pm.
