An anticipated world street food kitchen has opened in NR3.

Danomeys is beginning its first solo venture at the former Graze cafe in Magdalen Road.

Georgina Earland, 29, and Naomi Miller-Howard, 32, have run Danomeys since August 2020.

They had a kitchen residency at the Stanley and announced their new location in early February.

Miss Earland said: "We decided to do a soft launch over the bank holiday to take it easy on ourselves.

"The opening was so daunting. There is so much pressure if you do a big thing.

"But people have already been so supportive and welcoming. We love NR3.

"Everyone has been popping their heads in to say hello, they seem so pleased we've finally got our own space."

Danomeys became popular at the Stanley for its brunch menu with Beigel Bake bagels and American-style pancakes, and evening menu with world street food.

Miss Earland said: "We will be changing up our menu for the new diner, still with lots of brunch dishes but others too.

"We've also got an evening menu with dishes like curried goat, Caribbean patties and samosas.

"The menu is inspired by world cuisines and London street food culture."

Danomeys has applied for an alcohol license and a late-night refreshment license which can be viewed on the Norwich City Council website. Objections must be submitted by April 27.

Once the diner gets its alcohol license, the evening menu will be expanded and they will serve cocktails and boozy milkshakes.

The new diner in 72 Magdalen Road has a seating area, an open kitchen and a coffee and drinks area.

It seats between 20 and 30 people and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as takeaway.

Danomeys is currently open from 7.30am to 6pm on Thursday, Friday and Monday and from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
