An Italian restaurant in Norwich, owned by a Masterchef finalist, has been included in a prestigious food guide.

Benoli Restaurant, which opened in Orford Street in 2019, has been named among the UK's top eateries with a place in the Harden's Guide 2023 for Very High Quality Food.

In an Instagram post, a restaurant spokesman said: "What a lovely surprise! Thank you Hardens Bites for our entry."

Chef and co-owner Oliver Boon has worked at Gordon Ramsay’s Maze, Bryn Williams’ Odettes in London and for Michel Roux Jr, before going on to be appointed head chef of Roux at the Landau in Regent Street, London.

He reached the final of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2012.

The restaurant serves a range of Italian pasta dishes and other Italian cuisine, making the pasta fresh by hand each day.

They were featured in the Michelin Guide in 2022.

No1 Cromer was also featured in the Harden's Guide 2023 for Very High Quality Food.

Benoli is open Monday to Saturday, 12pm to 3pm and 5.30pm to 10pm and Sunday 12pm to 3pm and 5.30pm to 9pm.
