Some big news could be on the horizon for a green space which campaigners have been fighting to protect.
Old Catton Parish Council has called an extraordinary general meeting (EGM), which are held when matters need to be discussed or debated that cannot wait until the next ordinary council meeting.
The only item to discuss on the EGM agenda is Old Catton's deer park, which the Deer Park Action Group (DPAG) have been working tirelessly to save from being developed since last year.
It remains unknown in what context the deer park will be discussed.
The Spixworth Road park, the inspiration for Anna Sewell's Black Beauty, was sold to Devlin Developments in April 2022.

The latest measures put in place in a bid to keep the park a green space include designating it an Asset of Community Value, Norfolk Wildlife Trust lobbying for it to be awarded County Wildlife Site status and surveys on rare species that call the deer park home.
The meeting will be held from 6.30pm at the church hall in Blacksmiths Way, Old Catton on Friday, March 24.
